Charging Port for iPhone 17

iPhone 17 charging port: charge again without loose contacts

The USB-C port is the part that wears out the most: you plug and unplug the cable every day, and dust, lint or moisture do the rest. It handles wired charging and the data connection with computers and accessories.

Common symptoms

Charging that comes and goes, a loose cable that won't click in, a computer that doesn't see the phone, a liquid-detected warning on a dry phone, oxidised contacts. Try another cable and gently clean the port first: if the problem remains, the port needs replacing.

How to choose the right part

Pick the colour that matches your iPhone 17 frame, because the outer part of the port is visible on the bottom edge. The port flex module is fitted without soldering; if the socket on the logic board is damaged you need the charging FPC connector instead.

Compatible parts

If your phone is another model of the iPhone 17 family, the same type of part is on the Charging Port for iPhone 17 Pro page. Every other part for your iPhone 17 is in the iPhone 17 Spare Parts category.

Do I need to open the phone?
