The Light Sensor and Power Button iPhone 4S Assembled is the upper flex cable of the iPhone 4S supplied pre-assembled: it combines the ambient light and proximity sensor, the power button contact and its bracket, together with the speaker, in a single ready-to-install part. It sits at the top of the phone and handles power/standby, automatic brightness and turning the screen off during calls.

Replacement is needed when the power button does not respond or has to be pressed several times, the screen does not turn off when you hold the phone to your ear during a call, auto-brightness no longer works, or after oxidation or a drop that damaged the upper flex.

Installation note

Always disconnect the battery connector before starting. The upper flex runs close to the power button and front camera: lift it gently without bending it, align the power button bracket correctly and test power button, proximity sensor (during a call) and auto-brightness before closing the device.
