The Home Button Seal for iPhone 6/6S & 6 Plus/6S Plus is the black rubber ring that surrounds the Home button and holds it in its seat, absorbing the press and protecting the flex underneath from dust and dirt.

It needs replacing when the Home button wobbles, sits sunken, rattles or does not spring back after pressing, when the original rubber has hardened, torn or flattened, or whenever the Home button or the display is changed.

Installation note

Warning: remove the old gasket and any glue residue, clean the seat with isopropyl alcohol and place the new gasket perfectly centred around the button, avoiding folds or twisting of the rubber. Check that the button moves freely and springs back after each press before closing the phone.
