Spin Axis Flex Cable (Hinge Flex) for iPhone Duo

On iPhone Duo the two halves of the phone talk to each other through a single flex cable that runs across the hinge. With thousands of openings, closings and rotations it is the most stressed part, and when it cracks the symptoms appear suddenly. This spin axis flex cable for iPhone Duo replaces the damaged one.

Main features

• Specific part for iPhone Duo.
• Premium quality: compatible part, not genuine Apple.
• Stiffened centre section with brackets, designed to follow the hinge movement along its axis.
• Double connector on each side and branches already shaped for the two halves of the phone.
• Weight about 15 g.

What the spin axis flex of iPhone Duo does

The cable carries signals and power from one half of the device to the other, running inside the hinge along its axis. If it breaks, everything on the side opposite the logic board stops working properly. A new spin axis flex cable for iPhone Duo restores the link.

When to replace the spin axis flex of iPhone Duo

Typical signs are a screen that flickers or turns off only at certain opening angles and touch that does not respond on one half. Features that come and go as you open or close the phone also point to a damaged flex cable, often after a fall or a forced opening. Replacing the hinge flex fixes it without changing the display or logic board.

Compatibility of the spin axis flex with iPhone Duo

Compatible only with Apple iPhone Duo. Not suitable for other iPhone models.

Installation note

The job requires opening both halves of the phone, disconnecting the battery and working on the hinge. It is a delicate repair for a technician experienced with foldable devices. When finished, check the cable routing and that the rotation stays smooth in every position.
