• Type: iSight webcam built into the top bezel of the display.

Replacement Webcam for MacBook 13" Unibody

It is the right fix when the problem is not software related: if the webcam does not even appear in System Information, the fault is in the hardware. With a new camera the MacBook works again for video calls and online lessons, without an external webcam. Discover all the details of this part.

Installation note

No soldering is needed: the camera plugs into its connector inside the display assembly. To reach it you have to remove the screen bezel, so disconnect the battery first and work carefully so as not to damage the LCD panel and the cables that run through the display. If you have no experience, have the job done by a technician.
