Cameras for iPhone 17 Pro Max

iPhone 17 Pro Max cameras: sharp photos again

A drop, a knock or a little moisture is enough to damage a camera module. When the problem is in the sensor or the stabiliser, and not just in the outer lens glass, the fix is to replace the module.

Common symptoms

Blurry photos that won't focus, a black or flickering image, a ticking or vibrating lens, the Camera app freezing, selfies and video calls with no picture. If you only see a crack on the outer lens glass, the module may be fine.

What you'll find on this page

On this page you'll find:

• rear camera for iPhone 17 Pro Max: replacement module for the camera system on the back
• complete rear camera for iPhone 17 Pro Max: genuine part recovered from a device (Pulled)
• front camera for iPhone 17 Pro Max: for selfies and video calls

Pulled means a genuine part removed from another device and checked before sale.

How to choose the right part

Tell front (selfies and video calls, above the screen) from rear (on the back). The modules on this page are specific to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The job requires opening the phone and disconnecting the battery; after fitting, iOS may flag the part as non-genuine.

Compatible parts

If your phone is another model of the iPhone 17 family, the same type of part is on the Cameras for iPhone 17 Pro, Cameras for iPhone 17 and Cameras for iPhone Air pages. Every other part for your iPhone 17 Pro Max is in the iPhone 17 Pro Max Spare Parts category.

Frequently asked questions

Front or rear: which one do I need?
If the problem is with selfies and video calls you need the front one; if it affects regular photos, zoom or video, the rear one.

Do the cameras fit the other iPhone 17 models?
No, the modules change across the family: these are specific to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Can I replace it myself?
The phone has to be opened and the connectors are very delicate: we recommend a technician.
