Loudspeaker and Earpiece for iPhone 18 Pro

iPhone 18 Pro speakers: two parts, two different jobs

The iPhone 18 Pro has two speakers. The earpiece, above the display, plays the voice when you hold the phone to your ear. The bottom loudspeaker, next to the charging port, handles ringtone, speakerphone, video and music. Together they create stereo sound.

Common symptoms

Weak, distorted or no voice on calls while speakerphone works (earpiece). Silent ringtone, crackling or rattling music from the bottom, speakerphone cutting in and out (loudspeaker). It often happens after water exposure or a drop.
